Bi/Fluid Pride in 2 weeks!
May 31
Bi / Fluid Pride is in 2 weeks and we are up to 26 marchers!! Please join us (and bring a friend) so we can have an even bigger contingent! And if you can’t march, at least cheer us on from the sidelines and then come to the After-Party! Please note that the After-Party is at 909 Palm Ave, not 808 Palm Ave.
We also need a photographer and videographer for the parade.
LABTF has one more planning meeting (June 2nd) before the Parade – come if you want to be involved!
On Saturday, May 22nd, noted bisexual filmmaker, Kyle Schickner will speak as part of the May 22nd, Harvey Milk Day March and “Coming Out” Rally in Los Angeles.
Saturday, May 22, 2010
3:00pm – 6:00pm
Father Serra Park
123 Paseo De La Plaza
Los Angeles, CA
The “Coming Out” rally will be a massive and public action where the entire crowd will individually and from the stage COME OUT. It is statistically proven, and a message of Harvey Milk, that individuals are more likely to vote EQUALITY when they know someone who is LGBTQ. – Harvey Milk Day Facebook Group
PLEASE COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE
AND CHEER ON KYLE!
Bi/Fluid Pride Parade 2010
Apr 28
SAVE THE DATE!
The Bi/Fluid Pride contingent is marching loud and proud for the 3rd year in a row at the LA Pride Parade on Sunday, June 13th in West Hollywood, and we need everyone who is proudly bisexual/fluid/ pansexual, significant others, and allies to come out and march that day! Once again, our slogan will be “BISEXUALS ROCK!” because boy, do we!!!
Groups involved:
Los Angeles Bi Task Force (LABTF)
AMBI (A Meeting of Bi Individuals)
BiNet USA
American Institute of Bisexuality (AIB)
… and others!
We’re also having an after-party at Faith’s apartment right in WeHo (details TBA), so don’t miss out on all the festivities!
There’s 3 ways to get involved:
1) WALK WITH US
We’re aiming for an even bigger group than last year. Just RSVP either by replying to this e-mail, by confirming on Facebook at: http://www.facebook .com/reqs. php#!/event. php?eid=11505975 1861132&ref=mf or on Meetup at: http://www.meetup. com/ambila/ calendar/ 13342675/. Again, anyone bisexual/fluid/ pansexual- identified, significant others, and allies can come! And forward this e-mail broadly!
2) HELP PLAN THE EVENT
Get involved from the ground up! Roll up your sleeves and help us be even louder and prouder than last year! We could use help in graphic design, publicity, sign-making, t-shirts, party set-up, etc. Just reply to this e-mail or come to the next LABTF meeting on Wed May 5th at 7:30pm at the LA Gay & Lesbian Center.
3) DONATE A LITTLE CASH
We are a fledgling grassroots org, and it takes money to put together a contingent! Registration itself costs $200, and then there’s costs of supplies and the after-party too. Even $10 or $20 is greatly appreciated – any little bit helps! Just make your donation at: http://labicenter. org/?page_ id=309.
Look for updates (on time for meeting up, after-party, etc) via e-mail and on the LABTF website.
See you in June!!
